TRAVEL BLOG:
This Tumblr was maintained as a travel blog for my year abroad in Italy (2008-2009). For those of you who want to read about my adventures abroad, starting from the very beginning, you may read everything I have posted about
Italy in general, about my semester in
Rome, or in
Milan.
I returned safely from Bulgaria yesterday, and I’ve already started packing up for the states. I leave June 30th, with mixed feelings.
Of course at this point I’m anxious to get home, see my friends, see my boyfriend, get American pizza…but unlike last semester, I don’t have the comfort of knowing when I will return to Italy.
Of course I’ll be back! But who knows under what conditions?
Tonight is the Subsonica concert, and tomorrow I leave early in the morning for Venice. I come back from Venice on the 26th, and then have a mere 4 days to say goodbye to Milan. It doesn’t seem like enough time.
I’m sad to leave Italy, because at this point I’m comfortable here. I make friends wherever I go, and I haven’t gotten over being able to actually communicate in Italian.
Well, life goes on!
Avanti!
